In the context of its 70th anniversary, the Oldenburgisch-Ostfriesischer Wasserverband (OOWV) wanted to strengthen the bond with its end customers and present itself as a reliable partner for the No. 1 vital nutrition – drinking water. For this purpose, we developed a public event at several OOWV locations, where the products and services of the public utility were made emotionally tangible for the guests.
Among the many projects JOKE implements for public institutions, anniversaries are always very special events. At OOWV, in addition to the internal goal of employee loyalty, a format was sought with which customer loyalty (end consumers) could also be strengthened on the occasion of the company’s 70th anniversary.
In addition to incorporating the OOWV themes of “health”, “nutrition” and “drinking water”, active experience and regional roots (especially in catering & entertainment) were the pillars on which we built our concept for these public events in the form of local open days.
Dynamic activities such as the tube band, which produced powerful beats with barrels and pipes, and playful information, such as the drinking water educational trail, were used to convey OOWV’s services to visitors in a practical, understandable and likeable way.
We implemented the anniversary as a full-service provider, from the conception, including the creation of an anniversary motto and key visuals, to operational project management, production and logistics. Thanks to our own technical and furniture resources, we were able to adapt the event equipment flexibly and cost-efficiently to the various local conditions of the different OOWV.
