Success as a team for 100 years – team building and strengthening the “WE” feeling was also the focus at Kaefer Construction for the company’s anniversary. For this purpose, we developed an interactive outdoor event based on the classic game “Settlers of Catan” with gamification elements, a barbecue around a campfire and joint camping as a finale to the employee event.
The Settlers of Catan became the Settlers of Con(struction) – based on the popular strategy game, the staff of the construction project specialist Kaefer Construction competed against each other in teams in sporting, adventurous and sometimes absurd competitions and games to celebrate their 100th anniversary together. Drinks, food and the materials for the night’s camp were earned by the teams in the idyllic forest and meadow surroundings of the Niedersachsenhof in Gyhum. In the evening, the outdoor event continued in a rustic and cosy atmosphere. After successfully completing the gamification programme, the colleagues enjoyed a barbecue around the campfire.
The (common) way is the goal – that was the focus of the entire staff event. Starting with the jointly set up tent camp upon arrival to the big breakfast after camping as a finale. We successfully tested the pop-up camping concept for particularly large groups a year earlier – at our own anniversary.
