One of the core industries in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen is the food and luxury food industry, which exchanged views on industry topics at the new round table of the Senator for Economics, Labour and Europe. We implemented the round table as a hybrid event in the Autumn of 2020 as a full-service project together with our subsidiary DGS and its digital solutions for events.
Increasing the attractiveness of the food and luxury food industry as an employer – the second largest sector in the manufacturing industry in terms of employees in Bremen – was the focus of the industry networking event, which took place for the first time in the Spring of 2020. Due to the current corona status, the event in this series took place as a hybrid event, with the live programme streamed from the Bremen Innovation and Technology Centre to all interested industry representatives.
Labour market experts explained on stage, in response to current events, how training and further education opportunities work and can be subsidised by the state, especially in times of short-time work. All those interested in this important topic could either attend the event directly on site, where a corona-compliant hygiene concept ensured the safety of the participants, or alternatively join the event online via stream. An online platform with the highest IT security standards, coordinated by JOKE and developed by our digital subsidiary DGS, was available for this purpose.
On this portal, participants could easily and securely register and experience all programme points live, as well as comment on and join in the discussion at the appropriate points. JOKE implemented the analogue part of the hybrid roundtable with infrastructure for the live programme as well as streaming technology and overall project management, while the digital solution for the smooth live stream came from DGS (digital guest solutions).
