Plant and production anniversary with a big show at the Mercedes site in Bremen
Task: to transform an automotive plant into an exclusive anniversary location with a gala show for 350 high-profile guests – all with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Through meticulous planning and a convincing full-service performance, we tackled this challenge within a tight timeframe. In the middle of an active production hall, we created an event that earned enthusiastic applause and widespread media attention – thanks to a brand-consistent anniversary show and an exhibition of rare automotive icons.
75 years of the Bremen plant and 35 years of Mercedes-Benz passenger car production at the site — to celebrate this double anniversary, a production hall at the Daimler plant was expertly transformed into an event venue by JOKE. Immediately after the event, the hall was dismantled so that production could resume without delay.
350 VIP guests from business, politics, and the media experienced a top-tier event with a diverse program. The history of the site was showcased in an exhibition of historic vehicles, crowned by a multimedia stage show presenting the past, present, and future of the plant. Dynamic vehicle presentations — from the Borgward to the latest Mercedes C-Class — were paired with period-appropriate entertainment ranging from a symphony orchestra to a drum ensemble.
This anniversary celebration demonstrates how JOKE, with its high-performance full-service capabilities, reliably delivers even complex, large-scale gala events under tight time constraints — precisely planned, spectacularly staged, and flawlessly executed. At the same time, the event served as a successful PR moment for a company that stands as a flagship for the federal state of Bremen — as the lead plant for the C-Class and the region’s largest private employer.
