For the strategy conference and team evening of Rügenwalder Mühle, the JOKE team set out to find suitable venues that would bring the brand story to life on site. After extensive research between North Sea islands and urban hotspots, the daytime programme was held at the Green Bunker in Hamburg, right in the heart of St. Pauli. The former high-rise bunker has been transformed into a sustainable experience space through greening and, with its blend of tradition and innovation, provides the perfect setting for Rügenwalder Mühle’s integrated product strategy.
As part of the event, both meat lovers and veggie fans were well catered for: the diverse Rügenwalder Mühle product range was creatively prepared for lunch and dinner and also showcased as a culinary highlight by our JOKE chef. During a hands-on tasting of their own product range, participants were able to enjoy culinary variety and test their knowledge of food in a playful “Butterbrot (open sandwich) quiz”. A particular highlight was exploring the venue itself – a circular path led all the way up to the rooftop garden at a height of 60 metres.
For the evening after the conference, we also found the perfect partner venue in Astra Brewery, another much-loved brand from the food and beverage sector. Just a short walk from the bunker, guests enjoyed authentic insights and great food and drink on the Kiez, rounding off the day with a true Hamburg feel.
