Hybrid Conference in a Historic Industrial Location
The challenge: to deliver a COVID-compliant conference for technical staff – with 250 participants attending on-site and another 1,000 joining via livestream from their home offices. Our solution: a hybrid event in Bremen’s Alte Werft, an impressive 2,500 m² industrial-style event location offering ample space for safe networking and social distancing.
After the second COVID summer, the goal for the northern German Telekom team was clear: to reconnect in person – safely, but also memorably. The perfect setting? Our newly inaugurated event location Alte Werft, a former industrial monument in Bremen. It combines pandemic-safe conditions with a spectacular staging environment – perfect for personal exchange after extended periods of remote work.
A total of 125 participants attended on each of the two consecutive event days. From morning get-togethers to a varied conference program and relaxed evening chill-outs – everything took place in full compliance with hygiene guidelines. To maximize networking, an additional 1,000 colleagues joined via livestream, ideal for the content-focused sessions.
JOKE managed the full 360° project scope – from project planning and hybrid event technology to digitalization, health and safety concepts, and the complete on-site production. The Alte Werft in Bremen’s Überseestadt became a safe haven for both live and hybrid events in dynamic times.
