The long-established Bremen company BLG LOGISTICS celebrated its 50th anniversary of the first container handling in Germany with many partners and guests. This event took place at the Neustädter Hafen in Bremen. For this purpose, we staged the success story of the container in the Bremen ports and in the BLG context. The container was not only the focal point of the anniversary celebration in terms of content, but was also a striking component of the event staging.
As a seaport and logistics service provider, the container business has played a special role for Bremen-based BLG LOGISTICS since its launch in 1966. We also gave the container this special role for the anniversary staging and integrated it into the event concept as a common thread.
It was not only an atmospheric component of the spatial staging, but was also functionally converted into a galley for the dinner and served as the basis for an art competition. Under the motto “50-years-container-in-the-country-of-Bremen”, Bremen companies were called upon to design containers artistically. The winning fee of the competition went to a good cause determined by the winner himself. The designed containers installed in the anniversary production went on tour as ambassadors of Bremen.
In addition to a maritime dinner and a panel discussion with Bremen logistics and trade experts, musical acts such as drum artists and a DJ act with live musicians as well as the Hanseatic comedian “Nagelritz” rounded off the anniversary evening on the Waterkant.
