The car brand Mazda presented its first all-electric production model – the Mazda MX-30 – to the German press. Three months after the first Corona lockdown, we implemented a four-day test drive with maximum safety and maximum driving experience.
The task of the press launch for journalists at the German headquarters of Mazda Motors was to make electric mobility exciting and, above all, safe to experience in a pandemic-related context. The focus was on the new, first all-electric Mazda MX-30, with all its sustainability and technology benefits.
A few months after the first lockdown, we were able to demonstrate our traditional core competence of event security in the current context with a detailed protection and hygiene concept in June 2020. Starting with a service provider network that was as concentrated as possible, in which we took over a large part of the tasks as a full-service agency with our own technical and equipment resources, to participant small groups that were distributed over several days, to spatial security measures on site.
Through intensive participant communication, media representatives were informed about distance rules in the company’s own event rooms as well as one-way rules at entrances and exits in order to offer guests safety and orientation at all times. In addition, after each use, the test cars were completely brought up to the optimal hygiene level with a highly professional car cleaning, including aerosol treatment. Thus, the participating journalists could safely start their test drives up the Rhine and through the Bergisches Land and enjoy their “clean” drive with the new electric car from Mazda.
An exciting project for all involved, which showed how events can take place safely even under special conditions through professional planning and implementation.
