At what was once Germany’s most famous building site and is now one of Hamburg’s best-known landmarks, we were able to accompany the countdown and the start with memorable events. Both the roof-raising ceremony and the first anniversary were great fun for the people of Hamburg and for us.
After years of waiting, Hamburg’s latest celebrity was sent into the final spurt of construction, which we supported with emotional live communication. Our roof-raising ceremony staging created enthusiasm among Hamburg’s population – and among the international press, which celebrated the new German location and music highlight in the media, thus kick-starting the concert hall’s positive PR career. Here is a moving image of the preparations and the roof-raising ceremony.
Seven years later, on its first birthday, the Elbphilharmonie was once again in the spotlight – and with it all the guests who also had a birthday on 4th November. Concert tickets, hotel accommodation and restaurant visits for and in the Elbphilharmonie as well as guided tours of the concert hall were raffled off among the 4,000 visitors – the winners were personally presented with their prizes by Mayor Olaf Scholz during a small ceremony.
With a varied, international cultural and entertainment programme as well as interactive programme items, our event concepts conveyed what the Gateway to the World stands for with its new symbol: Cosmopolitanism combined with Hanseatic roots and closeness to the people.
In addition, we also ensure that the Hamburg landmark is put in the best light possible at the end of the year with a New Year’s Eve illumination.
